Erectile dysfunction, porn addiction and Homeopathy:
An ancient solution for a modern-day dilemma
Erectile dysfunction is something that many men experience at some stage of life, yet it remains one of the least talked about health issues. It can leave men feeling embarrassed, ashamed and isolated. Partners often feel confused, rejected or begin questioning themselves.
Erectile dysfunction is becoming increasingly common, and not just in older men. More and more younger men are struggling with erections, reduced libido and difficulty connecting intimately with their partners.
While there can be physical causes such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, hormonal imbalances and certain medications, many cases have an emotional or psychological component. Chronic stress, anxiety, burnout, relationship difficulties and pornography use are all factors that deserve attention.
As a Homeopath, I don’t believe in simply masking symptoms. Erectile dysfunction is often your body telling you that something deeper needs your attention.
When Pornography becomes the third person in the relationship
Pornography is often dismissed as harmless entertainment, but for some men it quietly changes the brain’s reward pathways and expectations around intimacy. This can contribute to what’s now commonly referred to as porn induced erectile dysfunction.
Many men don’t recognise what’s happening until they notice they’re struggling to become aroused with a real partner, find it difficult to maintain an erection, or need increasingly explicit material to achieve the same level of stimulation.
The impact reaches far beyond the bedroom.
Over the years I’ve spoken with many women who couldn’t quite put their finger on what had changed in their relationship. They described feeling unseen, disconnected or as though their partner was physically present but emotionally somewhere else.
I think women are incredibly intuitive.
