Don’t be insulted by your remedy

Understanding remedy polarities and the art of prescription in Homeopathy

I sometimes see a gentle hesitation in people’s faces when I tell them their Homeopathic prescription.
A flicker of “Wait… is that me?”
Or worse - “Oh no, is that what you think I’m like?”

Let’s clear this up right now:
👉 Your remedy is not an insult.
👉 It’s not a judgment.
👉 It’s a mirror showing a pattern of imbalance - not your essence.

The polarity of remedies

Every Homeopathic remedy has a polarity - two ends of a spectrum.
At one end, we see the symptoms or emotional states that arise when we’re out of balance.
At the other, we see the same energy expressed in its healthy, vital form.

For example:

  • Pulsatilla can describe someone tearful, needy, and changeable when out of balance - yet in health, she’s gentle, adaptable, empathetic, and beautifully attuned to others.
