At first glance, Bach Flower Remedies and Homeopathic Remedies can seem similar. Both come in little dropper bottles, both use energetic principles, and both work far beyond the purely physical.

But while they share a common philosophy - that true healing begins on an energetic or emotional level - they each have their own way of supporting the whole person.

Bach Flower Remedies

Created by Dr. Edward Bach in the 1930s, Bach Flower Remedies are vibrational essences made from the blooms of wildflowers. Each essence corresponds to a specific emotional state: fear, worry, uncertainty, overwhelm, loneliness - and gently helps to bring that aspect of our emotional field back into balance.

Think of them as emotional harmonisers.
They don’t treat physical symptoms directly, but rather the emotional atmosphere that underlies them.

For example:

  • Mimulus supports those who feel anxious about specific things.

  • Walnut helps with change and transitions.

  • Rescue Remedy offers immediate support in moments of shock or stress.

They are safe, gentle, and ideal for daily emotional support, helping you to feel more centered, grounded, and emotionally resilient.

Homeopathy

Homeopathy, founded by Dr. Samuel Hahnemann in the late 1700s, also works with energy - but at a deeper, more integrated level.

Through a process called potentisation, substances are diluted and rhythmically shaken (called succussion) to release their energetic imprint. These remedies don’t act chemically, but dynamically: stimulating the body’s own vital force, or healing intelligence, to restore balance.

While Bach Flowers soothe emotional disharmony, Homeopathy aims to transform it at its source - working through layers of emotional, mental, and physical imbalance.
