years:</p><blockquote><p>&#8220;<strong>Revelation 18:23</strong> &#8211; "For by thy sorceries (<em>pharmakeia</em>) were all nations deceived."&#8221;</p></blockquote><p> The interesting thing is that the original Greek word translated as &#8220;sorceries&#8221; is <em>pharmakeia</em>, which is where we get the modern words pharmacy and pharmaceutical.</p><p>Now before anyone gets too excited, I think it&#8217;s important to be careful with interpretation.</p><p>Was Revelation talking about modern pharmaceutical companies? Clearly not. They didn&#8217;t exist at the time. The word <em>pharmakeia</em> was used in the context of potions, drugs, poisons, and magical practices associated with the ancient world.</p><p>But I do think it&#8217;s worth asking questions.</p><p>What does it mean that all nations were deceived by <em>pharmakeia</em>?</p><p>What lessons, if any, might still apply today?</p><p>And how much of our health system is built around genuine healing versus symptom management?</p><p>You might come to a completely different conclusion than I do, and that&#8217;s okay. I think we&#8217;re all responsible for thinking critically, asking questions, and not simply accepting someone else&#8217;s interpretation because it sounds convincing.</p><p>My own view is that modern medicine has achieved incredible things, particularly in emergency care, trauma, and surgery. At the same time, we cannot ignore the reality that the pharmaceutical industry is one of the most profitable industries in the world.</p><p>When billions of dollars are involved, it&#8217;s reasonable to ask whether profit and healing always sit comfortably alongside each other.</p><p>For me, one of the things that drew me to Homeopathy was its simplicity.</p><p>Homeopathy doesn&#8217;t rely on patented drugs.</p><p>It doesn&#8217;t require lifelong prescriptions.</p><p>It doesn&#8217;t generate billions in shareholder profits.</p><p>Its purpose is not to suppress symptoms but to stimulate the body&#8217;s own healing response.</p>

far more complicated than it needs to be.</p><p>We buy the books, read remedy descriptions for hours, and disappear down rabbit holes trying to find the &#8220;perfect&#8221; remedy.</p><p>But some of the best prescribing often comes from getting back to basics.</p><p>Before we think about remedies, repertories, or materia medica, we need to learn how to observe.</p><blockquote><p><strong>In a world where we often look outside ourselves for answers, Homeopathy invites us to slow down, pay attention, and truly listen to what the body is trying to communicate.</strong></p></blockquote><p>Over the years, I have noticed that many people become overwhelmed when trying to choose a remedy. They have dozens of books, hundreds of remedy descriptions, and a long list of symptoms. Contemplation and talking to other women who are at that mid-point in life. </p><p>Women in their late 40's - mid 50&#8217;s. Kids grown up - or almost. Single, divorced, married, coupled up, separated, looking - and everything in between. At that mid-point where the kids have left home or they too, are at that midpoint. Living at home but doing their own thing, whether that&#8217;s University, College or working full time. </p><p>Living at home, independent to a point, but still needing Mama at times too.</p><p>It can be a time where some women grieve the times when their children were little. The cosiness, the love, the simplicity of that time. Now their children are older; taller, broader, deeper voices, curves, lashes and strong opinions. </p><p>It&#8217;s the in between &#8230;..</p><p class="button-wrapper" data-attrs="{&quot;url&quot;:&quot;https://www.wholebeinghealth.nz/subscribe?&quot;,&quot;text&quot;:&quot;Subscribe now&quot;,&quot;action&quot;:null,&quot;class&quot;:null}" data-component-name="ButtonCreateButton"><a class="button primary" href="https://www.wholebeinghealth.nz/subscribe?"><span>Subscribe now</span></a></p><p>And in that space a lot of women start thinking. Where am I in all of this? </p><p>I&#8217;m generalising here, but many women (Mothers), sacrifice a lot for their kids. Job opportunities, relationships, travel, where they&#8217;d like to live, money, time, hobbies. Not sacrifice in a martyr like way. Not in a &#8216;look what I&#8217;ve done for you!&#8217; way (not the healthy Mothers, anyway. I know there are some toxic parents out there who do pull that card on their kids - and that is never, ever ok).</p><p>But they just do it because&#8230;  it&#8217;s what Mother&#8217;s do. I don&#8217;t know who wrote that rule book. It seems to arrive at the same time as the baby&#8217;s head crowns. Here&#8217;s your baby! Here&#8217;s the guilt of parenthood. Don&#8217;t screw it up &#8230;..</p><p>And invariably we do. With all the best of intentions, the highest ideals and the hopiest of hopes, we still screw up. We&#8217;re human too.</p><p>Through the sleepless nights, tears, cleaning up vomit and poo, tackling school issues, comforting them when their friends or boyfriends/girlfriends break their hearts, supporting them with hospital visits, being a 24/7 cash dispensary, on call taxi driver, therapist, cook, cleaner and number one supporter - Mum, Mom, Mama and hopefully, but not always, Dad too - are there.</p><blockquote><p><strong>So, when the roles start changing, it can start those thoughts spinning. Who am I, if I&#8217;m not needed as Mother 24/7? Where am I? What do I do now? Where do I go? What do </strong><em><strong>I </strong></em><strong>want?? </strong></p></blockquote><p>Sometimes the arrival of this time coincides with Menopause. That in itself is a life changing journey. When those two life events collide &#8230; buckle up! </p><p>Often many women reach realizations at this time. The looking back begins, and the years ahead are fewer than those left behind. For women who are over givers, nurturers, healers and empaths, motherhood is even more taxing.</p><p>Rewarding yes. But those women overextend themselves even beyond the usual reach of parenting. So, there can a reckoning. A, &#8216;hang on, what about me?&#8217; moment. There can be a desire for the kids to hurry up and adult already. </p><p>Especially for single mothers who have had to be both Mom and Dad, often for years. It&#8217;s exhausting. These women - although they love their kids beyond words - are ready for their life now. They can see where they&#8217;ve been pouring out so much love and effort, not just to their kids, but to partners, perhaps elderly parents, friendships, their career &#8230; they turn the tap and oh&#8230;nothing comes out of the faucet.</p><p>It can be a sobering time. Everyone else is hunky and dory and Mum&#8217;s a wrung-out shadow of her former self. Not for everyone of course, but for some women, this is the reality.</p><p>There is a gift in this. Realizing that now, while you still love your kids and would do anything for them, that you matter too. And it&#8217;s your time. Perhaps you need to say no more instead of yes. Perhaps you have to make some hard decisions that the kids/adults won&#8217;t like, but it will bring YOU joy.</p><p>That&#8217;s ok. You can hold both things at once. The love for your kids, AND the love for yourself.</p><p>This is a journey I&#8217;ve been on. Menopause and my kids at that almost leaving home stage have made me take stock. It&#8217;s been sobering and not always pretty. But it&#8217;s made me sit up and think. Re-evaluate where I so freely give of my love, care and attention, and if it&#8217;s in my best interests to do so. </p><p>It&#8217;s ok to give if we have the capacity to do it. It&#8217;s also ok NOT to, if we don&#8217;t. That&#8217;s the lesson. Giving should always be done freely, not to get something in return. However, if we find that we are the one who is ALWAYS giving more and getting crumbs in return? Well, that&#8217;s not in our best interests, really, is it. </p><p>Perhaps it&#8217;s a one-sided friendship. A work situation where you do more than your fair share of work and don&#8217;t get any extra pay or recognition for it. Maybe it&#8217;s being the one who initiates all the time with a partner, friends, or family members, and if you don&#8217;t, the relationships stumble. </p><p>That leads to depletion, resentment, overwhelm and unhappiness.</p><p>Ultimately, happiness is an inside job. Yeah yeah, I know that&#8217;s an annoying phrase, but it is true at the end of the day. We are not responsible for anyone else&#8217;s happiness. No one else is responsible for ours.</p><p>Recognizing that we&#8217;re directing too much outward instead of inward, can be the start of a rewarding new relationship - with ourselves.</p><p>It&#8217;s not selfish. It&#8217;s necessary. If not now, when? You are allowed to prioritize your happiness. I&#8217;m not saying at the expense of others. There is a difference.</p><p>Sometimes we seek love from others because we&#8217;re trying to fill a void inside ourselves. So, we pour, pour, pour into everyone else. And deplete, deplete, deplete us. </p><p>Today I invite you, not to stop loving others, but to include yourself. Not only include yourself, love yourself, first. Paradoxically, when you love yourself more, others start to love you more, too. I&#8217;m talking about those moments every family has. The child who spikes a fever at 11pm. The stomach bug that barrels through the house. The bee sting, the panic attack, the teething baby, the concussion, the flu that hits like a truck, the dog with a sore paw.</p><p>Acute situations are where many people first fall in love with Homeopathy - it worked for me!</p><p>Because when the right remedy is given at the right time, the response can feel almost magical. This little sugar pill can really act <em>that</em> fast? Yes indeed. A child settles. Pain eases. Sleep comes. The body shifts from distress into regulation. Often, very quickly.</p><p>Honestly, this is one of the reasons I believe every household should have at least a basic knowledge of acute prescribing - and a remedy kit on hand, because Murphy&#8217;s Law, if something is going to go wrong, chances are it&#8217;ll be at the most inopportune time.</p><p>There are a handful of remedies I reach for over and over again in acute situations.</p><p><strong>Arnica</strong> is probably the one I use most. Injury, bruising, shock, falls, dental work, birth recovery, concussion support, even that &#8220;I feel battered and bruised&#8221; feeling after illness or overexertion. High fevers, red flushed faces, throbbing pain, hot children who go downhill fast. It&#8217;s one of those remedies that can act beautifully when the picture fits.</p><p><strong>Arsenicum album</strong> often comes out during tummy bugs and viral illnesses, especially when there&#8217;s vomiting, diarrhoea, anxiety, restlessness or exhaustion. It&#8217;s a classic winter remedy in my house. The pets often get a dose of it too, especially if they&#8217;ve eaten something they shouldn&#8217;t &#8230;.</p><p>And then there&#8217;s <strong>Nux vomica</strong>, the remedy of modern life. Stress, overwhelm, digestive upsets, irritability, overdoing it, poor sleep, travel, rich food, too much coffee. So many people fit Nux states at some point.</p><p>Of course, Homeopathy isn&#8217;t just about matching a condition to a remedy. It&#8217;s about the <em>way</em> symptoms present in that individual. But these remedies are popular for a reason. Grief that never quite finished grieving. Illnesses that left their mark. Patterns inherited from parents who inherited them from theirs. Years of medication, stress, loss, change. Hahnemann understood this. probably seen the fear machine ramping up about Hantavirus. While the virus itself <em>can</em> be a nasty one, I always think perspective is important, and after the Covid debacle, rightly or wrongly, I&#8217;m a tad sceptical&#8230;..</p><p>Over the past few days, I&#8217;ve had people messaging me about Hantavirus, expressing some concern about it. And I get it, I really do. I think it&#8217;s important to have awareness and be prepared - always. That collective memory of Covid is still very fresh for a lot of people.</p><p>So first, breathe.</p><p>Awareness is wise. Panic is not.</p><p>Hantavirus is not a brand-new illness suddenly appearing out of nowhere. It has existed for a long time and is primarily associated with exposure to rodents and their droppings, particularly in poorly ventilated enclosed spaces like sheds, cabins, barns or storage areas.</p><p><strong>Most people are not at high risk.</strong></p><div class="pullquote"><p><strong>One of the biggest things Covid taught us is how quickly fear itself can spread. Fear weakens people. It disconnects us from our intuition, our common sense and our trust in our bodies. We do not need to repeat that cycle.</strong></p></div><p>That does <em>not</em> mean ignoring illness or pretending things cannot happen. It simply means responding from steadiness rather than hysteria.</p><p>As always, support the terrain.</p><p>Rest properly. Eat nourishing food. Get sunshine. Reduce stress where possible. Support your immune system. Open windows. During the &#8216;Covid era&#8217; I was one of the outliers - one of those awful people who &#8216;didn&#8217;t care about Grandma&#8217; and opted not to inject myself with the poison dubbed the Covid vaccine.</p><p>I haven&#8217;t spoken publicly about that time, or my stance, although as a Homeopath and natural health advocate it&#8217;s probably pretty easy to guess which side of the fence I stood on.</p><p>(Mind you, I was often flabbergasted at the natural health practitioners - and yes, even some Homeopaths - who went along to get along).</p><p>In that small town where I used to live, I started to hear some pretty horrifying things. Young people with heart issues, young men &#8216;dying suddenly&#8217;, and people who had been previously well, or who had beaten previous cancers, diagnosed with terminal, turbo cancers and passing away rapidly.</p><p>Of course, it wasn&#8217;t just in my small town that this was happening. It was worldwide. </p><p>And to be honest, it absolutely breaks my heart. Because it&#8217;s so bloody unnecessary.</p><p>Yes, I know people had heart attacks, died suddenly and got terminal cancer before the Covid vaccine. But this is beyond normal. I know I may ruffle some feathers with this post, and if my views make you view me differently, I respect your views.</p><p>That&#8217;s one of the things I wish was &#8216;allowed&#8217; during the Pandemic. Respecting others&#8217; views. I didn&#8217;t judge people if they chose to take the injection. The healer in me, the compassion in me hoped they wouldn&#8217;t, but we&#8217;re all individuals, right?</p><p>Isn&#8217;t that the cornerstone of Homeopathy? Individualization? What&#8217;s right for you isn&#8217;t right for me. </p>

combination remedy debate! Classical Homeopaths can be quite protective of the single remedy approach - and as someone who trained classically myself, I completely understand why. The methodology is sound and the wisdom runs deep. Over time though, I've found that drawing on a variety of approaches gets the best results for my clients, so while classical prescribing is very much in my toolkit, it's not the only thing in there.</p><p>But today I want to talk about a system of combination remedies that I think deserves a lot more attention: the Narayani remedies.</p><p>These are not your average health shop combination. There&#8217;s a fascinating history behind them, a clear and thoughtful philosophy, and when used well, they are genuinely powerful tools. I use them regularly in my own practice and I want to share why.</p><h2>&#127807; I love this story behind the remedies </h2><p>This all begins with a remarkable woman named Norma Harman, born in Durban, South Africa in 1924. Norma had a deep interest in yoga and spirituality, and in 1960 she met Swami Venkatesa, a disciple of Swami Sivananda. That meeting changed the whole direction of her life.</p><p>Norma graduated as a Doctor of Homeopathy in Durban in 1970, and on the advice of Swami Venkatesa, she set up the <strong>Venkatesa Mobile Clinic</strong> - a not-for-profit organisation offering health care on a no-fee basis. It&#8217;s brilliant, but it requires a certain set of conditions. Norma didn&#8217;t have those conditions. She had hundreds of patients, very little time per person, and a need for a system that local community members with basic training could also use.</p><p>So, she did what passionate people do - she found a way. She developed a set of combination remedies based on conditions rather than constitutional pictures. Starting with around 36 mixtures, the range kept growing as her clinical experience deepened and her student network expanded. The clinics spread through South Africa, Mauritius, and India. These remedies were tried and tested in real-world conditions, on real people, over many decades.</p><p>In 1981, Norma was officially initiated at the Shanti Ashram and became <strong>Swami Narayani</strong> (often called &#8220;Mataji,&#8221; meaning mother). In 1989 she received an <strong>Albert Schweitzer Award for Humanitarian Work in Healing</strong>. She passed away in 1995, but her work carried on - and today the Narayani formulas have expanded to over 200 combinations, being used in over 70 countries.</p><p>The original reference text is the <strong>Handbook of Healing</strong>, written by Swami Narayani and Swami Ananda. There&#8217;s also a very useful condensed guide by <strong>Nimisha Parekh</strong> that I use regularly and would highly recommend.</p><h2>&#127807; So what actually are they?</h2><p>The Narayani remedies are <strong>combination homeopathic remedies</strong>, meaning each one contains several individual homeopathic remedies together, all prepared and potentised according to standard homeopathic methods. They are safe, gentle, and non-toxic - just like any other homeopathic remedy.</p><p>The key difference from classical prescribing is that you are selecting a remedy based on the <strong>condition or presenting symptoms</strong> rather than the full individual constitutional picture.</p><p>Some of the most well-known combinations include:</p><ul><li><p><strong>WAR</strong> - for infection. This is one of the most used remedies in the range, and it&#8217;s incredibly effective when you&#8217;re dealing with any kind of infection and the picture isn&#8217;t clear enough to pinpoint one single remedy.</p></li><li><p><strong>Drawing</strong> - widely regarded as one of the most important remedies in the range, especially for drawing out morbid material, infection, or anything that needs to be pulled to the surface and released.</p></li><li><p><strong>GFM</strong> - for fever management.</p></li><li><p><strong>Inflammation</strong> - for any kind of inflammatory process in the body.</p></li></ul><p>And that&#8217;s just scratching the surface! The range covers everything from digestive issues to respiratory complaints, emotional states, hormonal support, and so much more. Some of the more advanced remedies move into deeper territory - including chakra remedies, meridian remedies, gem remedies, and the <strong>Omkar remedies</strong>, which were developed at the Soham Sanctuary in South Africa and are used for deeper, more chronic conditions.</p><h2>&#127807; The Philosophy behind them</h2><p>Even though these are combinations, they are not just a throw-everything-at-it approach. Each combination has been carefully built based on how individual remedies relate to the physiology of a particular condition.</p><p>The idea is that when you put together several remedies that each have an affinity for a particular system or symptom picture, <strong>the most appropriate remedy in the combination will resonate and act</strong>, while the others sit quietly in the background. The body takes what it needs.</p><p>This is actually not so different from how we sometimes approach an acute situation in classical prescribing - where the picture isn&#8217;t yet clear enough to nail one remedy, and you work with a few closely related options. The Narayani system formalises this into a consistent, condition-based approach.</p><p>And importantly, the original intention was always a <strong>humanitarian one</strong>. Norma wasn&#8217;t building a system for well-resourced practitioners seeing one client at a time in a consulting room. She was building something that could be used in the field, by people with varying levels of training, to help large numbers of people who had limited access to healthcare.</p><h2>&#127807; When are they useful?</h2><p>This is the question I get asked most often, so let me be really practical here.</p><p><strong>Acutes and first aid situations.</strong> When something is happening right now and you need to act quickly, a well-chosen Narayani combination is incredibly handy. WAR is a perfect example - if someone has a tooth infection, an acute injury with signs of infection, or you&#8217;re simply not sure which single remedy is the best match, WAR gives you a well-trialled, clinically tested combination with a very strong track record.</p><p><strong>When the picture is muddy.</strong> Sometimes a case just isn&#8217;t clear. The symptoms don&#8217;t point obviously to one remedy. In those situations, a Narayani combination that fits the presenting condition can be a really useful bridge while you gather more information - or it can sometimes be enough to shift the acute layer so that what&#8217;s underneath becomes clearer.</p><p><strong>Alongside constitutional prescribing.</strong> This is the use that I think gets misunderstood the most. You absolutely can use a Narayani remedy to address a specific presenting symptom or organ-level issue while also working with a constitutional remedy for the deeper picture. They are not mutually exclusive - in fact, they can work beautifully together. I often use Naryani remedies alongside single or constitutional remedies, and cell salts. </p><p><strong>For home use and families.</strong> Because the Narayani system is based on conditions rather than individual remedy pictures, it is much more accessible for someone without extensive Homeopathic training. If you&#8217;re using remedies at home for your family, having a few key Narayani combinations on hand is wonderfully practical.</p><h2>&#127807; When single prescribing is the best choice</h2><p>For <strong>deep, chronic, constitutional work</strong>, single prescribing is going to give you better results. The reason classical Homeopaths spends so much time getting to know the whole person - their mental and emotional state, their miasmatic background, what makes things better or worse, their constitution, their sleep, their dreams etc - is because the single remedy that fits that total picture has a <strong>depth of action</strong> that a condition-based combination simply cannot match.</p><p>If someone has had eczema for fifteen years, anxiety that&#8217;s been with them since childhood, or a complex chronic illness with layers of suppression and old trauma - you need a proper constitutional approach. A Narayani combination might take the edge off some symptoms, but it is unlikely to produce the kind of lasting, deep healing that good single prescribing can achieve.</p><p>There&#8217;s also the matter of <strong>case management</strong>. When you&#8217;re working with a classical single remedy, you can track the response very precisely. If things move in a good direction, you know why. If there&#8217;s an aggravation, you can make sense of it. Combinations make it harder to know what&#8217;s doing what, and that matters when you&#8217;re navigating a complex case over time.</p><p>Norma herself never saw her system as a replacement for single remedy prescribing. The original philosophy was always that a better understanding of combinations could actually deepen your understanding of single remedies - and that both approaches have their place.</p><h2>&#127807; A note on the Omkar and specialist remedies</h2><p>Within the broader Narayani range there are sub-groups with different purposes. The <strong>Omkar remedies</strong> are designed for deeper chronic use over months rather than acute situations. There are also five element remedies, cranial nerve remedies, and single organ remedies. </p><p>If you&#8217;re getting serious about working with Narayani remedies, Nimisha Parekh&#8217;s condensed guide is an absolute must-have. I&#8217;d also recommend connecting with a practitioner who uses them regularly - having someone who can guide your prescribing makes a big difference, especially when you&#8217;re starting out.</p><h2>&#127807; The bottom line</h2><p>The Narayani remedies are not a shortcut or a dumbed-down version of Homeopathy. They are a pragmatically developed, clinically tested system with a genuinely beautiful humanitarian history behind them, built by a woman who dedicated her life to making healing accessible to people who needed it most.</p><p>They are not a substitute for constitutional prescribing when deep chronic work is needed. But for acutes, unclear pictures, home use, and as a complement to single remedy prescribing - they are a wonderful tool to have available.</p><p>Homeopathy is a big tent. by mould toxicity. As many of you know, I&#8217;m based in New Zealand but I work with clients internationally online.</p><p>Mould toxicity seems to be a problem particularly in the USA, and I did a bit of research to find out why. I discovered that mould is especially common in the USA due to a combination of factors: humid climates and heavy rainfall, building materials like drywall that absorb moisture, tightly sealed homes that trap dampness, central air systems that can spread spores, frequent flooding or water damage, and a general lack of awareness about hidden mould in indoor spaces. bold or loud, as though it requires confidence or dominance. In reality, taking up space is usually much quieter than that. It is often uncomfortable, subtle, and deeply personal work.</p><p>For many people, particularly women, caregivers, and those who have learned to keep peace at their own expense, taking up space feels unnatural. Not because they lack strength, but because somewhere along the way they learned that being easy, agreeable, or self-sacrificing kept them safe, loved, or accepted.</p><p>So, we shrink.</p><p>We soften our opinions.<br>We laugh things off.<br>We say &#8220;it&#8217;s fine&#8221; when it isn&#8217;t.<br>We make ourselves smaller, so others do not feel uncomfortable or inconvenienced.</p><p>Over time the body often reflects this pattern. Tightness. Holding. Fatigue. A sense of being compressed or contained. The feeling that there is no room to breathe, physically or emotionally.</p><p>Taking up space is the process of gently undoing this.</p><p>It is allowing yourself to be seen fully, not only in your competence and care for others, but in your needs, your preferences, your limits, and your truth.</p><p>It means speaking when something matters, even if your voice shakes.<br>It means allowing others to feel their own discomfort without rushing to fix it.<br>It means receiving appreciation without deflecting it.<br>It means no longer shrinking so others can remain comfortable.</p><p>This is not about becoming harder or less kind. pharmaceuticals, it always piques my interest.</p><p>The most recent pharmaceutical horror story has raised concerns about severe side effects linked to Metformin - one of the most widely prescribed medications for Type 2 diabetes worldwide.</p><h2>The risks of Metformin</h2><p>Metformin helps lower blood sugar by:</p><ul><li><p>Reducing glucose production in the liver</p></li><li><p>Improving insulin sensitivity</p></li><li><p>Helping cells use glucose efficiently</p></li></ul><p>Although considered &#8216;safe and effective,&#8217; (where have we heard that before&#8230;.),  Metformin often affects the digestive system. Frequently reported reactions include nausea, diarrhoea, stomach pain, reduced appetite and a metallic taste in the mouth. Health guidance recommends taking it with meals to reduce these symptoms.</p><p>Long-term use, particularly at higher doses, has been linked to vitamin B12 deficiency.</p><p>Severe complications are uncommon but require urgent medical attention. These include lactic acidosis, a rare condition involving breathing difficulties, weakness and feeling unusually cold. Liver problems and severe allergic reactions may also occur.</p><p>By their own admission, Metformin is not suitable for everyone, particularly people with significant kidney or liver disease or heavy alcohol use.</p><p>While it can be life-changing for some, it doesn&#8217;t address why blood sugar became imbalanced in the first place.</p><h2>The risks of diabetes</h2><p>Chronically high blood sugar can silently damage:</p><ul><li><p>Blood vessels</p></li><li><p>Nerves</p></li><li><p>Kidneys</p></li><li><p>Eyes</p></li><li><p>Heart</p></li></ul><p>This increases the risk of cardiovascular disease, neuropathy, kidney failure, and vision loss.</p><p>The goal is not only lowering glucose - it&#8217;s restoring balance.</p><h2>How the body responds to insulin</h2><p>When you eat carbs, they break down into glucose and enter the bloodstream. Homeopath!!), have come not just from watching people heal, but from watching that healing change the direction of their lives.</p><p>One of the things that continues to make me feel both proud and deeply humbled - alongside the privilege of helping people and their animals heal - is the number of clients who, after their own healing journey, have felt called to go on and train as Homeopaths themselves.</p><p>Over the past few years, I&#8217;ve also received a growing number of requests from both students and qualified Homeopaths seeking mentorship: support with case analysis, remedy differentiation, confidence in prescribing, and navigating the realities of practice beyond what is often taught in formal training.</p><p class="button-wrapper" limited number of mentorship spaces for Homeopaths in training and qualified practitioners.</p><p>This mentorship is intended for student practitioners and qualified Homeopaths who feel ready to deepen their clinical understanding, refine their prescribing approach, and develop greater clarity and confidence in their work. The focus will be practical and clinically grounded, including case discussion, remedy differentiation, and working thoughtfully with complex or sensitive cases in modern practice.</p><p>I qualified as a Homeopath in 2010 but have been using Homeopathy for much longer than that! Over the years I have helped thousands of clients - both human and animal - with often multi-layered, complex issues. I have devised my own method of working with has provided better results than the standard Classical homeopathic training that I initially received. Due to this, I now have a thriving and successful practice - and you can too! </p><p>To ensure the mentorship remains focused and genuinely supportive, availability will be limited and there will be a selection process. voice shaking, heart pounding, years of resentment pouring out in one go.</p><p>But real boundaries rarely start there.</p><p>They usually start much smaller.<br>Almost unnoticeable to anyone else.</p><p>They start with the tiny no.</p><p>The no to replying straight away.<br>The no to over explaining.<br>The no to taking on one more thing when your body is already tired.<br>The no to smoothing things over just to keep the peace.</p><p>These little no&#8217;s matter because they retrain your nervous system. They teach your body that it is allowed to pause. That it is allowed to choose. That it does not have to earn rest, love, or belonging by over giving.</p><p>If you have spent a lifetime being the good one, the reliable one, the one who copes, then boundaries can feel deeply uncomfortable at first. Saying no might bring guilt, anxiety, even physical symptoms. That is not failure. That is conditioning surfacing.</p><p>This is where homeopathy can be incredibly supportive.</p><p>Not to force boundaries, but to soften the internal patterns that make them feel unsafe.</p><p>Carcinosin is a remedy we often see in people who learned early on to be good, capable, and self-sacrificing. These are the ones who hold themselves to impossibly high standards, who feel responsible for everyone else&#8217;s wellbeing, who struggle to rest unless everything and everyone is okay. Carcinosin can help loosen that deep sense of obligation and perfectionism, making it feel safer to choose yourself without overwhelming guilt.</p>
